There's more
attention on TV

Total TV beats global video sharing platforms
NZ On Air’s definitive “Where are the Audiences?” report shows our local broadcasters leading for daily audience share in 2026.
The gap to global platforms (with 62%*) appears small, but add in a few other considerations and local TV’s advertising advantage becomes quite dramatic:

- On average, television ads hold viewers’ attention for longer.
- Local television advertising is seen as more trustworthy.
It’s no wonder New Zealand marketers are shifting their attention back to television.
